We shipped Legal: Terms, Privacy and Cookies — without typing them

uBrand Team 2 min read

A new "Legal" tab with built-in templates that adapt to what your brand actually does — cart, bookings, reviews, analytics, the language cookie.

Nobody schedules the "write the legal pages" meeting. So we removed it from your list — Brand → Legal now ships three pages, pre-filled.

The three pages

Terms of use, Privacy policy and Cookies policy. Each lives at its own URL under your domain: /terms, /privacy, /cookies. Links appear in the public footer of every page automatically.

What is inside the templates

These are not generic "lorem ipsum" placeholders. They describe what is actually happening on your page: if you have a Cart, the template mentions orders; if you have Bookings, it mentions reservations; if you have enabled Google Analytics or Pixel — they get listed in the cookie inventory. Your brand name, domain and contact email get interpolated automatically.

Bulgarian and English versions are authored in-house. Add another language and the template renders the English fallback, which you can then translate with the AI assistant.

Editing

Each page has a WYSIWYG editor with one tab per published language. You can format with bold, italic, lists, headings, links. Hit Save and you are live. Made a mess? There is a Reset to template button that regenerates a fresh template, scoped to the language you are currently editing.

Translation

The same Translate to other languages button works here — it fills every empty published-language slot without overwriting anything you have already typed. The AI translator you already use for your services.

Draft vs published

Each legal doc has its own Published/Draft toggle. Drafts are not shown on the public page — handy when you are mid-revision and do not want it visible yet.

Why this matters

Privacy policy and Cookies notice are no longer "nice to have" — they are required by GDPR for any European site. Terms of use give you the right to refuse abuse (defamatory reviews, fake bookings, IP infringement). Before, this took a day or a lawyer. Now it is done before your first publish.

We are not lawyers. The templates are a solid starting point for a standard brand. For regulated industries (medical, financial, education for minors) we recommend a professional review. For ordinary brands and shops they cover what visitors expect.
